Welcome to our web page!
We hope the information here is clear and helpful to
you. We value any comments you would like to make and we
encourage you to make use of the resources available
here and through the links to other Christian sites.
If you are looking for a church in this community, we
want you to know that you are more than welcome to visit
us. Our service times are published here including any
special activities. If you are not familiar with the
rural Sinking Spring area, you should contact us for
directions—our campus is beautiful, but not easy to find
the first time. In fact, if you have any questions,
please feel free to email us, or give me a call at:
610-334-9866. I would be happy to talk with you.
Sincerely,
W. Sheldon "Shelley" Lee
Pastor

Romance is in the air! I’m
not just talking about Valentine’s Day—I’m thinking of
our marriage simulcast on the 27th. Because it went so
well last year, we’ve signed up to host it again.
If you are interested in being a part of this, please
sign up. We still have tickets available for $25 per
person at the welcome desk. If you would like to come,
but the price is an issue, we have some scholarships
available— please talk to me about it. It would be a
shame to host an event like this and have some of our
own folks not attend!
Please keep this event in
prayer. We can still use some help that day. A sign-up
form will be available on the Connection Card in early
February. The event includes a catered meal, there is a
bookstore that day and we will need to make sure to
extend our hospitality to everyone who attends.
I am wrapping up the series on Leadership this month.
Then Keith will be speaking to you as an Elder about
what he and Jeff have been thinking in regard to
leadership. As you may know, Keith, Jeff and I have
started meeting with some guys to study what the Bible
says about leadership, to discuss some of the challenges
facing the church, and to pray for the church. One of
our goals in this is to expand the eldership, but we
also believe that this will move the church forward in
many other ways.
One of the highlights this month will be Robin Grover’s
testimony on the 21st. I’ve read it and what she has to
share from her experience with Christ is very powerful.
You need to be there.
Opportunities abound for you to get involved in a class
or Growth Group. Both George Desko’s Bible Fellowship
Hour class (9:15 AM on Sundays) and Brian Stoltzfus’
class have been very good—I’ve heard great comments from
people in both classes. Even if you’ve not been a part
of one of these classes yet, you can still join and
learn a lot. And all four of the home groups are now
meeting. Pick one and get involved!

South Dakota ~ April
30th to May 9th |
|
|
There are seven people from
Hillside planning to go on the Mission Trip to South Dakota from
April 30th to May 9th.
The cost is $345, which includes everything except for a few meals on
your way out and back.
If you are interested, we need your application submitted along with
$100 deposit right away.

Our hearts go out to all
the people suffering in Haiti, but it is
not always easy to know how to help. We have
a unique situation at Hillside, in that Dr.
Jean Payer was already scheduled to go on
medical mission trip to Haiti on February
11th! So we can help by giving towards
medical supplies that the team can take
along on the trip.
Naturally, you can just give directly to
this fund at church, or by sending your
donation to the church, marked "Haiti
Mission Project." We are also giving people
another option by having a sandwich sale.
You will find a downloadable form on this
page that you can use to order your own
hoagies,
or you can use it to sell
sandwiches to your friends or coworkers.
We need the forms back, with the money,
by
Sunday, January 31st. Sandwiches will be
available for pickup at lunch time on
Friday, Feb.5th, or on Sunday, Feb. 7th.
This way, you can sign people up for lunch
at work on the 5th and deliver freshly made
Hoagies to your coworkers! In fact, any
businesses that would like to provide
lunches for their employees that day can
also take advantage of this. For church
members, it might be easier to pick up your
sandwiches (these will be made on Saturday)
on Sunday after church.
If you would like to take part in the sale,
just click on the link below and print out the form
-- and thank you very
much!
